New sites always have great potential. Best of luck with this one.
New modeler
Hello everyone! My name is Dan. I live in Spring, Texas. I currently build aircraft of all scales, but mostly 1/48 and 1/32. I build mostly World War 2. I just finished a Bf-109E by Tamiya. It's a 1/48 scale. You can see my pics on my Facebook page. It's Dan Leone.
Paint scraping from an old priceless model
Hello. Greetings from Colombia. Pwerhaps this is not the place to ask this question but I couldn't find any other. I have a 60 year old Beechcraft Bonanza by Lindberg. Someone painted the model with ordinary household enamel. I want to eliminate this paint without spoiling the rivets and detail of the model. What can I use? As you all know, thinner is out of the question becuase it melts the styrene. I also used break fluid with little success. Any suggestions? Thanks
EDUARDO
Isopropyl alchool
you can try Isopropyl alchool: it work very well with acrylics, not sure with enamels. But for sure it will not melt or damage the plastic.
It doesn't work
Thanks for your reply.
No. Unfortunately, Alcohol is useless. This is because enamel is an oil based paint and it dissolves with thinner. However, there must be something I can use!!!!
i found something
