Comet A34 British tank, Bronco 1/35

The Comet 1 (A34) was an english tank entered in service at the end of the WWII
The North African campaign, made clear to the Englishes the their tanks were clearly inferior compared to the Germans.
Therefore, a request was issued the Leyland Motors Ltd for a new tank that could be compared to the German tanks. To save time and money, the tank should had to use as many components as possible of the Cromwell tank.
After an unsuccessful attempt with the Challenger, a new model was built: the Comet.
The Comet had a good armor, hull and turret were welded, ammunitions were stored in armored containers, suspension upgraded, and the turret had an electrical engine.
The 11th British amored division was the first one equipped with the Comet, in December 1944, but the Comet was never employed in battles of some relevance.
Perhaps his best use was during the Victory Parade in Berlin...
The Comet was used also during the Korean was, and it has been in service with the British until 1958.

THE KIT
The Bronco kit is a very nice kit, and it contains 237 parts in olive drab plastic, four resin idler wheels, 14 etched parts and a short length of twine for the tow cables plus an extensive instruction sheet.
Construction of the model is well laid out in the instructions and appears to be very logical with no challenges that would require three hands.
Fit is excellent, and there are plenty of nice details. On my build i reserved special care to the weathering process, using AK Interactive products, oil colors and pigments.
