North Africa Counterattack diorama

To realize this diorama, i used two models previously built:
M3 Stuart Honey Academy 1/35
+
Matilda MkIII_V Tamiya 1/35

The Academy model is a very good one, with a nice fully interior.
The Tamiya is the old one, but still nice fun to build it.
The Palm tree is scratch-built: I used for the trunk a stem of an old plastic flower, covering it with Das Pronto, carving on it the texture, painting it wih Vallejo colors, applying several washes and then pigments; the "top" of the trunk is made with dryed herbs glued; the leaves are made with metal foils of some yogurt jar: since they have a corrugated texture before I smoothed it, then I cut them on the desidered shape and then i cut the many lateral incisions; and then I painted and washed them.
As a base I used an old (Windows 95, lol) graphics tablet, covered with some Das Pronto. For the sand i didn't use normal sand, because it would be of the wrong scale, but some very small powder spices that a friend brought to me from Marocco. Even tough they were already of sand color, I airbrushed them.
The small command building is scratch-build using some cardboard and then applying plaster mixed with white glue.
The fascist poster on the facade and the North Africa map (dated WWII time) are downloaded from Internet and printed with an ink-jet.
I don't remember the brand of the English tank's crew... perhaps Matchbox, not sure.
