Super-Weathering on old Airifix Lockheed Hudson 1/72

I used this old kit to experiment various heavy weathering techniques combined, from paint peeling to chippings to rust.

The "excuse" for such a treatment, was this imaginary tale: the aircraft was captured by the Germans, roughly repainted and operated. While flying with the new marks, it was damaged and spent the rest of its life rusting on a field.

So the challang was to : make still visible the original Brit camo trough the German one; reproduce the effect of the time on the paint.

From the many images you can have a look at the materials employed.
