FW 190 D9 Hasegawa 1/72

The FW 190 D9, usually nicknamed "Dora", was the final evolution of the fighter FW190, upgraded from the version B (equipped with a radial engine BMW 801 with a supercharger, or the version C equipped with an engine DB 603) to the version D, equipped with a powerful Jumo 213 12 cylinders engine.
The upgraded required to elongate the plane of about 1.5 meter in comparison with the initial vehicle of Kurt Tank, and together with the version TA 152, it represents the max expression of the lucky FW 190 project.

THE KIT
The kits is molded with engraved panel lines, and it has optional bits for the head rest and canopy.
The cockpit is decently busy, and it uses decals for instrument panels and side consoles. A drop tank and rack are also provided.
The instructions are well done; color calls are provided for Gunze paints.
Fitting is good, assembly easy.
I choose a classic late war camo scheme, with mottling and the lower side with white and red stripes. These colorful stripes where used to allow the German flak to recognize their own fighter in the sky, in a period when the Allies power was overwhelming on the skies.
