Spitfire MK12, Airfix 1/48

Along the time, Airfix have released a number of 1:48 scale Spits, from the, to the recently released Mk 1 in 2007.
This kit signs the return of Airfix at the good standard that made the company world famous.
Perhaps it is not the best of the best like some Tamiyagawa kits (but are they truly?), but for sure it is a good kit.
The fitting is excellent, the easy of build divine, the details (i.e. inside the cockpit) are numerous and excellent. It has been noted that the recessed panel lines are a little too overdone. But this can be easily fixed. Or you can take advantage of this, and made a truly outstanding wash of the panel lines.
Last but not least. Airfix offer this quality just at a fraction of its competitors!!
Well done Airifix !
